  • Urban: In Paris, the city’s heat action plan includes cooling centres, hydration stations and targeted outreach for vulnerable populations.30
  • Rural: In Malawi, solar-powered health clinics provide uninterrupted medical services (i.e. vaccine cold chain) in remote areas affected by extreme weather.31
  • Peri-urban: Årstafältet, a peri-urban area in Stockholm, is integrating wetlands and green infrastructure to manage flood risks and improve water quality while supporting urban expansion.32
