Policy brief: HTA for renal dialysis for end-stage renal disease in Indonesia

End-stage renal disease (ESRD) is a growing non-communicable disease in Indonesia. In the context of Universal Health Coverage, appropriate policies will need to be in place to ensure the financial sustainability of the public provision of treatment of ESRD. This policy brief reviews the analysis using the Health Technology Assessment approach to compare cost-effectiveness and health benefits between two different treatment approaches: haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
